Abstract
After-school services under "Double Reduction Policy" have a more important mission of educating people, with the fundamental task being the free and comprehensive development of students. The relationship between freedom and leisure is the logical beginning of Marx’s Theory of Leisure. Freedom is formal, while the state of leisure is related to contents, where the contents determine its form. In this relationship, the creation of a leisure state in after-school services is the premise of students' freedom. Therefore, based on the double connotation in Marx's freedom, freedom refers to the positivity and also development of human beings. Meanwhile, after-school services have represented the connotation of Marx’s freedom in the form of activities and courses, bringing about the attribute of freedom. Presently, there are two choke points in Chinese after-school services, namely the separation of practice and thoughts in activities, and the lack of effective curriculum supply, making it difficult to showcase the attributes of freedom. Therefore, we must effectively analyze the pathways of freedom based on Marx’s Theory of Leisure, in order to clarify the goal of policies on after-school services on the free and comprehensive development of students, “Double Reduction Policy” must be implemented effectively under the background of the development of high-quality basic education system.
