Abstract
A total of 76 patients underwent chest X-ray, coronary angiography, and echocardiography examinations. The results of echocardiography were analyzed, and the positivity rates of the three examinations were compared. Of the 69 patients who were positive on echocardiography, 40 had thrombi located in the distal right ventricular artery and 29 in the bifurcation of the left and right pulmonary artery. The positivity rate of echocardiography was 90.79%, significantly lower than that of coronary angiography but higher than that of X-ray examination. The differences among the three examination results were statistically significant (P<0.05). Echocardiography can effectively display the location of thrombus in the diagnosis of cardiovascular arterial embolism, detect direct signs in patients, and serve as the preferred method for clinical diagnosis of cardiovascular arterial embolism.
