Abstract

Objective: To study and analyze the effect of endovascular angioplasty in lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans. Methods: 60 patients with lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to July 2021 were selected and divided into study group and control group with 30 cases in each group by random number table method. Both groups were treated with endovascular angioplasty, the control group was treated with percutaneous balloon angioplasty, and the study group was treated with drug-coated balloon endovascular angioplasty. Follow-up was conducted for 12 months after treatment, and the therapeutic and prognostic effects of the two groups were evaluated and compared at the last follow-up. Results: The total effective rate of the study group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). ABI and BI were increased in both groups 12 months after surgery, and the difference was statistically significant compared with that before surgery (P < 0.05). ABI and BI in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The efficacy of drug-coated balloon endovascular angioplasty in lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans is significantly better than that of conventional balloon, which can guarantee the efficacy and improve the prognosis.
