Abstract

As an independent language research paradigm, Ecological Discourse Analysis focuses on the role of the language in the ecosystem and reveals the ecological thoughts and ideologies behind discourse by concentrating on ecological issues and events. Nowadays, news discourse is one of the most effective ways for people to obtain social, economic and all sorts of information, and the environmental news discourse exerts a great impact and influence on the natural ecological environment and human ecological consciousness. Ecological thoughts, as one of the most essential elements in Ecological Discourse Analysis, this paper conducts profound and concrete research on the ecological discourse of news reports of the United Nations Climate Conference to arouse people’s perception of seriousness of ecological problems, so as to improve people’s ecological consciousness, create an eco-friendly environment and build a brilliant ecological civilization with the aim to achieve harmonious and prosperous state between human and nature and ultimately build a community with a shared future for mankind.
