The Survival Situation of Children of Sino-Myanmar Cross-border Marriages: A Case Study of “Three Border Counties” in Pu’er City

Abstract
For various reasons, such as economic development, political stability, cultural proximity, social stability and proximity, China has become the preferred destination for Southeast Asian women to migrate by marriage, most of whom marry Chinese citizens and live in the border areas of southwest China. The number of cross-border marriages at the southwest border has been increasing year by year in recent years, as has the number of children from their cross-border marriages. The children of cross-border marriages at the border face various dilemmas in their lives. The aim of this paper is to explore and study the special phenomenon of children of cross-border marriages between China and Myanmar in the "three border counties" of Pu'er City, and to explore countermeasures to solve this problem. It aims to provide a reference for improving the management of cross-border marriages and education in the border areas, and to contribute to the healthy socialization of cross-border marriages between China and Myanmar.
