Abstract
Gadamer is a representative philosopher of modern interpretation. He proposed two core concepts of “effect history” and “fusion of horizons”, which provide useful inspiration for the development and deepening of music theory, and also expand our ideas for understanding and interpreting musical works. It also expands the horizon for understanding and interpreting musical works, and brings great inspiration to the understanding and interpretation of musical works. This paper aims to grasp the concepts of “history of effects” and “fusion of perspectives” from the perspective of philosophy and music aesthetics, so as to better help us understand musical works. This paper uses philosophical, documentary and analytical approaches to analyze these two core concepts and aims to grasp the concepts of “history of effects” and “fusion of perspectives” from the perspective of music aesthetics, in order to better help us understand musical works. In his work Truth and Method, Gadamer points out: “The true historical object is not an object at all, but a unity of itself and the other, or a relation in which there is both the reality of history and the reality of historical understanding.
