The Development Context and Prospect of China’s Digital Village Research—Based on CiteSpace Bibliometric Analysis

Abstract
In order to explore the development trend of digital countryside, this study used CiteSpace5.8.R3 software to conduct a visual analysis on 310 core journals of Peking University and CSSCI journal literature collection with the theme of "digital countryside" included in CNKI database from January 2017 to June 2022. The results show that the development of digital rural field shows two stages of "slow growth at the initial stage and spurt growth at the later stage", and the distribution of research authors and institutions is characterized by "overall fragmentation and local aggregation". The research focuses on rural revitalization, rural governance, agricultural economy and digital communication, and the research context is susceptible to policy effects, showing a dynamic development trend. Follow-up research should focus on the empirical level, multi-field and interdisciplinary development of digital countryside.
