Abstract
In the early days of the founding of New China, the creation of comic strips has gradually matured and it has become an important platform for artists in all fields to show their talents and express their understanding of the times and society. From a historical point of view, China's comic books have a unique development trajectory and artistic charm, both rich and interesting story plots, and thought-provoking and fascinating ideological connotation. Under the background of the great development of Chinese culture in the new era, comic strips, as one of the carriers of Chinese traditional culture, have great prospects for development in inheriting and carrying forward China's excellent traditional culture. Among the comic books, the comic books represented by Chinese paintings not only continue the development of comic books, but also continue to innovate in the southern and northern regions of China. The inheritance and innovation of Chinese paintings have made the overall level of comic books reach a new high, indicating the direction for the creation of comic books.
