Abstract
Speaking classes in teaching Chinese as a second language are of great importance for students at the elementary level of Chinese, as they can not only help students enrich their vocabularies and improve their oral expressions, but also help them improve their communication skills. However, in the elementary Chinese class, students often make mistakes in their oral expressions due to their low Chinese level, so it is especially significant for Chinese teachers to correct students' mistakes in the class. IMAC for kids is a Chinese language institute in Thailand, and most of the students are Thai locals, ranged in age from 3 to 10 years old. IMAC for kids classes adopt the teaching mode of 1 to 3 students. In this thesis, by using class observation to analyze the error correction behavior of Chinese teachers in IMAC for kids, analyze the causes of the problems when correcting students' mistakes, and find specific strategies to help students better absorb what they have learned in oral Chinese classes.
